As of 16 November 2010 all issued Belgian licence plates for motorcycles (including trikes and quads) have the European format, a small square plate measuring 210 by 140 mm. Sample:

– On the first line:
- Index digit, ranging from 1 to 7
- Separating dash on the middle line with the embossed official CV sceal ('CV' stands for 'Circulation' and 'Verkeer' = traffic) above it in red and the engraved DIV sceal below
- Group of three letters beginning with M and W, and followed by any other letter except O
- Belgian euroband on the left (a circle of twelve yellow stars and a white B monogram on a blue background)
- DIV security thread on the right side of the euroband
- Group of any three digits except 000
